On a rain-soaked Monday in New York, history lecturer Darius finds a single grey hair and knows, with sinking certainty, that the life he has carried for seventeen centuries is finally beginning to end. Before it does, he has one task left: pass on what he knows to Daniel, an unassuming but brilliant student, by handing him a six-inch binder of memoirs dating back to 312 AD.
